"Prevention is better than cure" is well known proverb to us, but it is firstly invented by Ayurveda. Ayurveda helps us to cure diseases with the help of ideal lifestyle.

  • Get up at Brahm muhurta (morning):
    We should try to wake up early that is before sunrise. At least at 5o’clock.
  • Dantdhavan:
    In ayurveda sticks of Vada, Rui, Karanja, Kaduneemba, Amla are used for brushing. But in our today’s developed lifestyle it is difficult to get fresh sticks, so we can use the powder(churna) of these dried sticks to brush our teeth.

Malmutratyag:
After waking up early in the morning we should not stop tools. Early morning the pressure will be more so it is necessary to do malmutratyag.

Anjana:
After brushing we should put ‘surma’ or ‘kajal’ in eyes. It helps to protect eyes from different doshas.

Abhyanga:
Abhyanga is a process of applying oil to your whole body before having a bath. Abhyanga keeps your skin young and slows down aging process. It helps to control Vata. Abhyanga extends your lifespan as well as it gives you peaceful sleep.

Exercise:
Exercise helps you to manage your weight. It makes you feel happier. Exercise increases hunger, burns calories of your body. It gives strength to your muscles. It is good to do exercise after Abhyanga.

Udvartana:
Udvartana includes application of ‘Utane’ all over the body. ‘Utane’ is powdered form of dried herbs. This helps in reducing body fat as well as body odour.

Snana:
Snana is an essential part of our daily routine. Snana removes external dirt from our body. It increases your hunger, boosts our power. It avoids itching, skin disorders.

Aharsevana:
After snana, you must have healthy food. There are some rules in Ayurveda. It is necessary to eat food while it is fresh. It should contain ghee, oil and milk. While having you food you should not talk or laugh loudly, because it may lead to indigestion.
